Weather in Costa Rica
Costa Rica is an amazing country. It is rich not only in its nature, flora and fauna, but also in a variety of weather. Costa Rica is divided along a volcanic ridge with a huge number of active volcanoes. The height there is from 1000 to 3500 meters above sea level. At this height is the Rain Forest. There is abundant rainfall all year round and a humid tropical climate with moderate temperatures. The Caribbean coast is always hot and rainy. It is difficult to dry things here, you have to use drying machines. Cotton underwear does not survive, as well as clothes - everything becomes moldy. The South Pacific coast is similar to the Caribbean side, but there is much less rain. There are heavy rains in August-September, but the rest of the time everything is moderate. The driest part of Costa Rica is Guanacaste (northern Pacific coast). There is a dry season from November to May. This means that there is no rain at all. Trees shed their leaves, the air is hot but very dry, so the temperature is very easy to tolerate.

Two days ago, the world was shocked by the news: the weather in Costa Rica is out of control, the central part is flooding, and it is extremely dangerous to travel to the country. I didn't believe it at first, I thought it was a fake. And only when I looked at the news, I realized that it was true. Flooded the Caribbean side, and some cities in the central part. But, surprisingly, Playa del Coco, and the entire northern Pacific coast, escaped with a slight fright, i.e. we had a little rain and we would not even know about what is happening in the central part of Costa Rica. In the photo, the situation with the rain at the time of 11:00, July 24, 2021.

This is so different this Costa Rica! In general, if you are going on vacation, it is better to contact us to find out about the current weather in the country, or better go to the northern part of the Pacific coast. We are waiting for you!
